Hydraulic Oil Flushing Projects

Hydraulic oil flushing is a process of cleaning the hydraulic oil lines to achieve the desired cleanliness to ensure that the system will be operating smoothly. It is an important step for any pre-commissioning works and other maintenance works because during the oil flushing process the cleanliness of the system can be measure usually by counting the remaining particles inside the system.

Usually the cleanliness of the system is measured using the NAS standard, a lower NAs number indicating a cleaner system. A usual NAS standard is around NAS 6,5,4 ..... Thus NAS 3 reading will be cleaner than a NAS 5 reading. The hydraulic oil flushing is a specialize jobs and require competent personnel with a proven experience to carry out the oil flushing works.

The team also need to have a suitable equipment to perform the oil flushing works. The equipment usually will consist of a heavy duty pump, with suitable flow rate, a filtration unit and hoses and connections.
