HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY

SEGI PERKASA (M) SDN BHD HSE policy ensures that health, safety and welfare for the employees and the community at large, has highest priority and SEGI PERKASA commits itself to:

• Maintaining a healthy and safe work environment, as is reasonably practicable, for all employees at all times.

• Ensuring that no job is carried out by ignoring or compromising on safety aspects.

• Ensuring that so far as reasonably practicable, all processes are properly supervised and are safe from risks to health.
  

• Ensure that adequate precautions are taken to protect personnel from injuries and to protect the plant, machinery and environment, as is reasonably practicable, providing adequate training to all employees for the work they are required to do by informing them of any hazards to health and safety which may be inherent in the plant or materials required to be handled.

• Making all efforts to ensure conscientious observance of all National, State and other statutory requirement for maintaining a safe and healthy working environment.

ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY STATEMENT

SEGI PERKASA (M) SDN BHD (SPMSB) is dedicated to continue excellence, leadership and stewardship in protecting the environment, in which we work and live. Our commitment is not only to meet, but also to exceed compliance levels of the environmental regulations and legislation. We strive to eliminate pollutants generated at the source, to use safe substitutes where feasible and to maximize the reclamation and recycling of materials to eliminate any adverse impact on the environment.

It is our main concern to affirm that reasonable precaution has been taken into account toward ensuring that its activities do not result in adverse effects on human health and well-being and on the surrounding environment. In achieving its' objectives SEGI PERKASA (M) SDN BHD have adopted the following fundamental principles:

• The environmental impact of existing operations and new projects will be assessed in order that viable mitigation plans and control measures can be implemented.

• All services and production operations will be regularly monitored for full compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

• All waste generated is recycled or disposed of responsibly in accordance with the environmental legislation.

• Contingency plans will be made available to deal with foreseeable environmental incidents

• Increase employee awareness and active involvement in environmental matters;

• Operate its facilities to meet and, if possible, improve on legal requirements and consent conditions on environmental matters

• Develop knowledge of the environmental impact of its processes and products, seeking to move towards long-term sustainable principles
